Fred Astaire charms audiences in this musical comedy that features a soundtrack of hit songs including  By Myself ,  That's Entertainment , and  A Shine on Your Shoes .  Fred Astaire plays a washed-up movie star hoping to return to the limelight as the lead in a new Broadway show. While dealing with difficult co-star Cyd Charisse, Astaire finds his comeback threatened when flamboyant director Jack Buchanan throws the production into turmoil.
